Pieces must be bone dry prior to submitting for kiln firing with glaze-free bottoms with 1/4" bare base. Studio is not responsible for karmic rage inflicted by the Kiln Gods, fire at your own risk and pray your pieces survive. Members will be responsible for providing appropriately sized (1" wider than item base) kiln cookies for glaze firing. No refunds for damaged items.
Allow 2-4 weeks for kiln firing (these times will improve as we grow and purchase additional kilns).

Measure height × width × depth (in inches)- Multiply all 3 measurements= cubic inch. Enter this number as quantity to purchase on this listing.

All product sales at Iris & Stone Pottery Studio are final. Due to the nature of handmade and studio materials, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or returns once a purchase has been completed. Please inspect items carefully before purchasing. If a product is defective or damaged at the time of sale, please notify staff immediately so we can address the issue.
Iris & Stone Pottery Studio LLC – Cancellation Policy
General Policy
We value your time and ours! Because our classes and studio space are limited, we ask that all cancellations and rescheduling requests follow the guidelines below. This helps us keep classes full and fair to all participants.
Classes & Workshops
Cancellations made 7 or more days before the start date will receive a full refund or may be rescheduled at no cost.
Cancellations made 3–6 days before the start date are eligible for studio credit only (no cash refund).
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the start of class, or no-shows, will forfeit the full amount.
Once a class series has started, missed sessions cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
Memberships
Memberships may be canceled at any time, but must be done at least 7 days before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the next month.
Partial months are not prorated or refunded once billed.
Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable once activated.
Private Events & Group Bookings
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your date.
Cancellations made 14 or more days in advance will receive a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made 7–13 days in advance will receive studio credit for the deposit amount.
Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance or no-shows will forfeit the full deposit.
Rescheduling
We understand life happens! If you need to reschedule:
Please contact us at least 72 hours in advance.
Rescheduling is subject to class availability.
Less than 72 hours’ notice will be treated as a cancellation.
Studio Credit
Studio credits can be used toward future classes, workshops, or memberships and expire after 6 months from the issue date.
Cancellations by the Studio
If Iris & Stone Pottery Studio must cancel a class or event due to low enrollment, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive the option of a full refund or studio credit.
Specialty glazes (such as lusters or precious metals), if offered, may carry an additional fee
All firing fees are due before firing
Ceramics are inherently unpredictable; successful firing is never guaranteed
Fees cover kiln use, materials, labor, and studio resources
Firing fees are non-refundable, including if a piece does not survive firing
The studio reserves the right to refuse work that is unsafe for the kiln
No glaze may be applied to the bottom of pots, foot rings, or any surface that will touch the kiln shelf. Pieces with glaze on the bottom will not be fired until corrected.
Shelf damage fees:
Minor glaze drips / grinding: $10–$25
Severe damage or cracked shelf: up to the full replacement cost of the shelf
Fees may be charged to the card on file or invoiced.
How to avoid shelf damage
Leave at least ¼ inch of clean clay at the bottom of all pieces
Wipe bottoms with a damp sponge before firing
Ask staff to check your piece if you’re unsure
Use catch plates or cookies only if approved by staff
